Q: Why was my non-big-list question made community wiki?

Mike ShulmanThis question of mine was made community wiki by someone other than me. I'm aware of discussion (e.g. here and here) arguing that big-list questions should be CW so that the voting system can be used to rank the answers without affecting the reputation of the posters. A: Why was my non-big-list question made community wiki?

Todd TrimbleAfter consulting with the other site moderators, the decision for now was to let the CW status stand for the question at Main. @ToddTrimble If the intention is to start again the discussion about CW question, maybe adding tag to the question might be useful so that it attracts a bit more attention and does not go unnoticed?
I have recently upvoted the question - to get it to score >=3. This would make it appear in the community bulletin (unless the score decreases again and until it is 14 days old).
But featuring the question would keep it there definitely longer.
Just as a curiosity - here are past featured questions on meta: data.stackexchange.com/meta.mathoverflow/query/851136/…
On a completely different note - is it known when MO gets the new theme? Meta.SE: Rollout of new network site themes.
I will not be surprised if it is going to be received similarly as on Mathematics, the announcement on meta currently has score $-89$: Mathematics new site theme is live.

@MartinSleziak I do not know. I think "soon" might have been the only adjective I heard.

We will see whether some users join the discussion about CW initiated by Todd Trimble.
If some reasonable consensus is reached and if some (at least vague) rules are written down, maybe it should be mentioned in the community wiki tag-info. Perhaps including the link to this answer or to the posts which are linked there.
The tag-info currently contains only links to the network-wide information.
> None of this is actually written down as MathOverflow official policy. That in itself might make some people uncomfortable; my hope is that this answer might help lessen the discomfort a little.
