Would be happy if I could get either some comments or some moderator action this old forgotten meta question on the [safe-browsing] tag.
If the tag is renamed, I can go through the quesitons and remove it where it does not belong.
 
@Anders I disagree, I think that tag description is wrong. There are other such services, including those provided by other browsers, with the same name. It's not just a google-only thing.
that said it does look like most of the questions there are about "browsing safely", and not this set of apis and services. So I do agree some change is needed, just not sure what the right solution is here - need to think about it.

@AviD From reading Google Safe Browsing on Wikipedia it looks like other browsers with a safe-browsing feature actually all use Google's API. If that's the case, I'd think Anders' suggestion to rename to [google-safe-browsing] makes a lot of sense. If there is really someone asking about a distinct "safe-browising" feature that's not related to Google's list, they might be fine combining tags like [phishing], [web-browser], etc.
