@quartata There are some docs about using the Babel API on their website.
TL;DR: require('babel-core').transform(code, options)

(note that Babel doesn’t do anything by default — you have to use something like babel-preset-env to compile stuff that’s currently part of the JS spec, and one of the stage-X presets to use stuff that’s not yet part of JS)
There’s also a helpful page where you can pick from multiple ways of setting up and using Babel.

@ArtOfCode (1) Could you mention that many spam posts only need three flags due to our autoflagging system, and (2) Could you use a non-acronym for the vote-to-delete privilege so people don’t have to figure out the acronym before understanding the sentence?

@JF Re (1) I thought the idea was to not mention charcoal at all?

@JF yep on 2, but I'm trying not to mention Charcoal at all, so I'd rather not talk about autoflagging

@ArtOfCode Looks good with (2) included.

Posts still technically require 6, even if we do take three off the bat

8:19 PM
@ArtOfCode Or 1 off the bat on some sites, right?

Aye

I'm not sure, but I think it's how much quota that site eats each time we fetch the posts from that site

How much quota each site has used since the last reboot or rollover

OK, that makes slightly more sense :P

So, as long as we're not getting down towards 0, that's good?
What causes sites to be higher than others? - I'm surprised IPS is up so high on the list, for example.

@Catija Lots of rude/abusive posts? ;)

J F
@Catija By default, we wait for two posts to be posted to a site before fetching them at the same time and checking them for spam. There’s a list of sites where we customize the thresholds.
If a site has a lot of spam/abusive posts, we fetch each post as it comes in, while we increase the threshold for larger sites (to avoid using up the quota) and sites with les spam.
This makes me wonder:
Should we decrease the default threshold to 1? We aren’t even close to using up our quota, and we can just failover if we run out.

Q: Should a post be flagged as spam if an author is clearly *not affiliated* with the promotion?

Nonny MooseWhile I was going through the review queues today, I came across this answer: My original reaction was to flag it as spam, but then I reread the description under the spam flag: spam Exists only to promote a product or service, does not disclose the author's affiliation.
