I mean sure, review the other queues and don't get it the same as everyone else, that's fine, differing opinions and viewpoints
Late answers, sure press No Action Needed as it's already gone through the first posts queue and has (hopefully) been reviewed there.
>50% of First Posts being No Action Needed. Do they even know what they're supposed to be doing in that queue?! You're the first person to review a users post, give it a proper bloody review and teach the person how to use the site.
Any user who presses no action needed just because they're lazy should get a 7 day ban from reviews
@Randal'Thor This room is for ASOIAF/GoT chat please keep the chatter on-topic and not just to call out other users and their ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE reviews. Please take that to TREU
@Edlothiad Don't think I said either way, but you need some front end to test the back end haha, I'm just trying to get something usable front end that looks quite nice before moving to doing the backend and haha you said it would happen.
@fez We're all devs to a certain extent in here and GoT is in the winter at the moment
Ok, I'm going to log the policies I have open now, and then figure out this OCR work-around, it's a bloody faff that this OCR is only a portion of Tessarect's options
I think I'm going to have about 4-5 meta posts to write on sunday clarifying policies that are scattered between 4-5 meta posts EACH
I heard of a war/battle in the series which ends very suddenly. This is because the winning side considers the war to be a personal vendetta against the leader of the losing side's country, rather than against the country itself. They have no interest in conquering the losing country. Once the le...
It all depends on if searching for the text in the DB would be quicker than searching for it in the PHP I suppose but my plan was to get the full transcript back each time so Aegon's suggestion makes sense
Thanks :)
Although the checkboxes are bugged at the moment haha
Yes, and it can be very significant.
If there's 100 million rows, SQL server has to go through each of them and see if it matches.
That takes a lot more time compared to there being 10 rows.
You probably want an index on the 'x' column, in which case the sql server might check the index rather ...
Rush home, put all my laundry and stuff into a bag, pack some extras race to home home, 2 loads of laundry, unpack, sleep, wake up at 6, fold laundry, pack it up, shoot back to home 1 (not home home) in time for a game of rugby, where I'll probably tear my subscapular tendon and then off to drinks before waking up on sunday morning realising I've lost the use of my shoulder
Re-Reading it, noticed a period that should have been a comma and the ambiguity caused by the name Harmund and irrelevance of the Mother's name, so yeah...
Heh, The guy asked for details
When someone asks me for details, I give him details
On one hand[1], I appreciate the intent behind trying to de-spoiler TFA questions.
However, we don't have THIS deep and wide a level of hiding data for any of the older works, like the other 3 Star Wars films (Episodes 4-6) or Harry Potter.
Does it mean that at some point we will have an offic...
3 minutes for the 5 minutes it takes me to pack up and get to the bus, otherwise i’d Have to stay in temp home tonight *shudders* so had to walk at lighting pace, scan out, across the building, detour for construction work and out to the bus
Who better to quote than Julia Golding herself.
In short, it was from the Kalevala but "set loose to take new form".
For her characters she borrowed creatures from all mythologies and has tried to re-envision them into her universe. Golding's Kullervo was originally a creature who could speak o...
Actually, as I found in this answer here, and from Valorum's answer to this question. People surrounding this book and film can be pretty responsive to emails. So I emailed Andy Weir (I hope you don't mind me blacking out my name), but this was his reply:
So according to him, Mark uploads the l...
