@Dennis Can you please pull ARBLE?

@ATaco Syncing.

1:02 AM
@sergiol I am now. Please feel free to ping me if you need something.

Dennis, will TIO ever be a true REPL?
Some of my answers had their demo on one such, but they reformulated the side in a way that everything is broken.
I can't rely on the site, not for my already posted answers, and also not for new answers

It has been requested from time to time, but a lot of things would have to change to make this possible. So yes, I'll probably offer REPLs at some point, but it isn't a short-term goal.

TIO does not emulate a true terminal, as I can not interact with the site the same way I did with tutorialspoint.com/execute_tcl_online.php
thanks

Yes, that is correct. TIO is merely a family of online interpreters. That's usually enough for me, but I realize everyone's use case is a bit different.

1:34 AM
@Dennis A new file for string decompression was added to Husk's GitHub recently. Bit it's not on TIO
Also you won't need the other dictionary file, as that is only for compression.

It's there but Husk can't find it.

Interesting. I have an idea of what's wrong.

Looks like Husk searches the current directory for the dictionary, not the interpreter's directory.

1:56 AM
The wrapper now symlinks all tsv files. I'll remove that if/when the interpreter doesn't need it anymore.
@H.PWiz This works now.

Nice, I've just messaged to fix it.
It is, I believe, a simple change.

I assume it is. I don't know the first thing about Haskell though.

I believe It's this part of the commit.

Yes, undoing that part fixes the issue.

Lol, I saw that change for a second.
It keeps changing...

2:07 AM
Yes, there are 4 arena servers and I'm currently syncing.
All done now.

3 hours later…

5:33 AM
The problem with Husk should be solved now

5:44 AM
Yep, working fine now.

@Dennis Thanks!

@Dennis Hi @Dennis -- Sorry to disappear on you last week and thanks for trying the other configuration as well. My impression is that we've pushed this about as far as we can for the time being given the limitations of the sandbox, but I'll let you know if anyone on my team has an insight that I'm not seeing at present. Thanks for helping us get it this far!

7:08 PM
@Brad No problem. Do you happen to know why I have to bump the file size to 400 MB for this to work?

7:41 PM
@Dennis AFAIK, it's just because we tend to build large binaries due to the need to bundle in support for parallelism, communication, etc. But I'd be curious to look into it more on our side and make sure that there's nothing else inflating it unnaturally. If you're bumping it just for this case and would prefer not to make it that big, I wouldn't do so just for the sake of supporting this gasnet option, particularly given how fragile it is at node counts of 3+...

8:00 PM
@Brad Yes, I've increased it just for Chapel, but I don't think it will cause problems. I'll commit the current build script (CHPL_COMM_SUBSTRATE=smp) to GitHub now.

2 hours later…
9:36 PM
@Dennis Sounds good!
