Q: Confusion about [tag:trigonometry]

Chase Ryan TaylorAccording to its tag info, trigonometry is for questions about Trigonometric functions (both geometric and circular) . . . What throws me off is “geometric.” Which of the following categories of functions would be appropriate for use with trigonometry if no triangles are actually involved?...

I am probably reading that paragraph differently than you meant it, but you seem to claim both that the tag (hyperbolic-functions) does not exists and that it does exist. You also mention (trigonometric-functions), this tag is one of synonyms of trigonometry tag. (If the clarification of this needs to be a bit longer, feel free to drop me a line in chat.) — Martin Sleziak 51 secs ago
What I meant in the above comment is this paragraph.
> When I searched the tags list, neither , nor , appeared, but has posts and a wiki summary, and just has posts.
When I go to the tag page and start typing "hyperbolic", it is one of the tags that show up.
I will add that it is possible to order tags by number of questions or alphabetically. (If, for some reason, one would wish to goes through all the tags rather than search.)
When ordered alphabetically, hyperbolic-functions are currently on page 23.
When ordered by "popularity", they are (at the moment) on page 11.
@MartinSleziak What I mean is that when I go to “tags” beside “questions” and search “hyperbolic,” nothing shows up, but just to be sure, I linked the tag in my post and clicked on it, and voila. Also, I think tagging the creator would be a wonderful idea. — Chase Ryan Taylor 2 mins ago
As you can see from the screenshot I posted in chat (and other links posted there) I had not problem finding the tag. Are you sure you did not search among tags on meta rather than main (or some similar mistake which caused you looking in the wrong place)? — Martin Sleziak 22 secs ago

That may have been the problem. My mistake. I’m also on the mobile application, so that might be a factor

@ChaseRyanTaylor So maybe check when you are on computer. (I am not sure how difficult would it be on the mobile - I do not use mobile app.)
If it turns out to be just misunderstanding (or looking in the wrong place), after you edit the post, we can remove the comments related to this. (As they will be no longer needed.)

Can I just go ahead and delete the post?
