There were always these strange and icky styles of Farsi that I would, as a child who read often, encounter especially with translations. I didn't know what it was, but I can still feel the disturbing sensation I got from them in the back of my head.
A few days back I was preparing an email for a friend and suddenly I realized that I had used a rule of English syntax (or style of narration, rather) in my writing, and that old feeling came alive in front of my eyes.

It's not the original language's fault. It's the translator's, obviously.
Or the speaker who has neither fully learned a second language nor preserved his common sense in using his first one.
