@Mitch Even more permissive than that, and not just the north of the city. And there are smaller yet looser cities than Tehran, I guess, by the Caspian Sea, for example. But all in all it's not a stable phase, so I don't know how accurate I can be about it.

I see the first post as very fitting, if a bit harsh. If it actually is a close vote on a reopened post by the same person however - which moderator tools would show him - it's a very accurate description of such a behavior.

@Helmar I don't think moderator tools let you see the identity of close-voters (although I might be wrong about that). In any case, it's not possible in general to vote twice to close or open a given question. You can re-cast an aged close vote, but I don't think you can re-cast one that was successful.

For example, if I try to vote to close this question, I get a message saying "You have already voted to close this question."

@Helmar I don't think moderators have access to any personalized voting information in general (see "Do volunteer/elected moderators have access to detailed voting history data?").

And if they did, I think it would be extremely inappropriate to disclose that information in a public comment, or to criticize the user for the way they voted. (Close votes are not as private as other types of votes, but the identity of close-voters is presumably concealed before closure for a reason.)

@sumelic Mods can see who voted to close (just like you can, if the question ends up closed). We can't see who up- or downvoted a post though.

@terdon Yes, everyone can see that information if the question is successfully closed. But Helmar was wondering if a moderator could tell which person cast a single close vote on a not-yet-closed question.

@sumelic Yes. Mods can see the names of close voters before the question is closed. That isn't privileged information since everyone else can also see it once the question has been put on hold.

We can't see who voted for whom, but we can see who voted to close.

@terdon I see. I hadn't realized that the identity of close-voters is public information even before the question is closed. Apparently non-moderators can even access it through the Data Explorer. In that case, I don't understand why this information is hidden by default from non-moderators... seems kind of silly. Thanks for explaining that!

@sumelic I know that Mari wants me to delete the post, but I think it's fine to leave it there. Just like we should not over-expose things, I don't think we should over-hide things too. Of course, if a mod deletes my meta post, I will not raise another post to complain about it. I am a reasonable person, after all. But sometimes, I have outbursts too. Shameless, ugly, dumb, donkey is not fine. 10 months, not 10 days or 10 weeks, is not fine. It's just not fine.

I'm guessing that he didn't quite understand how rude he was being, but that comment is really too much.

Also, @JasperLoy, why are you combining the two issues here? A mod being rude and aggressive towards a user is a very serious problem. A mod who hasn't logged in for a while is both not a problem and in no way related to the other.
