hmm, I was playing the amalur demo, and I was about to run out of time, so I just murdered everyone in town. The quest givers I guess are "essential" but they just watched me butcher everyone in sight and they're like "HELLO, FRIEND! HOW ARE YOU TODAY? HOW IS YOUR MURDEROUS RAMPAGE THROUGH MY HOUSE GOING?"
I'm trying to grow trees underground, and they are not growing?? I have other underground spawning locations, and they grow fine. The depth here is 17. Could that matter? Ceiling is 8 blocks up. Very confused.
I'm looking for a racing game that would be suitable for my
kids, they are 4 & 6 years old.

@RavenDreamer Haha! Quote-unquote my friend: "Yeah, when I was making the game, I felt like the rest of it was too easy, so I put in something that even I struggle to beat."
Also, you should check out the source code. It's a bit messy at places, especially the stuff he added on towards the end of the dev process, but it's really neat.
I mean, I know what the problem is, (gravity is only active for 1 tiles worth of space, and the minimum speed means there will be collision resolution up and not down into the gap), it's just, I'm having a hell of a time getting motivated to rigorously get something that works better.
@Mana Yeah, that's what I was fooling with, but it didn't solve the underlying problem.
(It just made it more obvious that that was what was happening)

There are a variety of unlockable characters that you can play as in Castle Crashers.
So far it seems as though all the characters do exactly the same thing, with different visuals.
Do any of the characters do anything unique (that affects performance in battle)?

All of these damn anti-piracy laws are pointless! Musicians, record labels, motion picture studios... they're still raking in money, despite their films being pirated! Surely, the loss they're seeing has to be minimal.
It's not as bad as it seems, most game companies would still let you keep copyrighted material up, as it only gets shut down if the copyright owner chooses to prosecute.
what I find puzzling is the whole concept of software and entertainment media ownership. As soon as you open the package, you can't return it, ever - it's your property, permanently, except.... they retain all the rights to it, can tell you what you can and can't do with the product, and can take it from you whenever they want.

@FallenAngelEyes I figured. Strix did an awesome job supporting me as Tristana. Ended up with ~30 kills and 1 death. Then in another game, after stealing some kills from @RonanForman I got my first Quadra Kill with Veigar! =D
