Still, better than meta. My best there is 75.

won't ever, post is locked. :(

Well crap. My backup is only at 90, but at least it's still open to votes :/

I'm guessing you wrote this on your other keyboard? — Geobits Sep 5 '14 at 20:23
You can get the list with this query: data.stackexchange.com/codegolf/query/377920/…

@Geobits we're tied :D

3:04 PM
I did a Google image search for "success ascii art" without quotes and was not happy with the results I got while at work (NSFW)

@MartinBüttner :D I have one at 97, but it's on a locked post so it'll probably lose out eventually.

yeah, I saw that... but I meant we're tied with two comments in the same thread. (mine is on Doorknob's answer)

Oh nice.

@Rainbolt Huh, I don't get anything weird. Google must know some weird shit about you.

^
TIL Google stalks @Rainbolt.

3:07 PM
I got an ascii penis as the second search result. Maybe it's because I'm gay?

I got a couple weird ones... the third, for instance.
Oh, that was the one I meant. I got it third though.

Oh, I do see that one now. I missed it.

Weird. And you produced a son?

Yep. With my ascii art penis.

@Rainbolt are you?
oh, I see it.

3:09 PM
Yes, but I have concluded that Geobits is probably not gay, so my hypothesis is blown

first image result, doesn't show up at all in the normal search
@Rainbolt welp, sorry for that.

@Martin In fairness, this one should be your most upvoted imo:

what does it say about @CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ

Well my ratio starts with 0.666, so....

@Geobits How come I cannot find my name in there?

3:31 PM
TILA steradians:
The steradian (symbol: sr) or square radian is the SI unit of solid angle. It is used in three-dimensional geometry, and is analogous to the radian which quantifies planar angles. The name is derived from the Greek stereos for "solid" and the Latin radius for "ray, beam". The steradian, like the radian, is a dimensionless unit, essentially because a solid angle is the ratio between the area subtended and the square of its distance from the vertex: both the numerator and denominator of this ratio have dimension length squared (i.e. L2/L2 = 1, dimensionless). It is useful, however, to distinguish...

@Geobits You aren't even the most active downvoter.

Yeah, the sort order is opposite of what I would have expected from "stingiest". "Generous" would be just right though.

3:36 PM
@flawr Oh I've known that for a while. I'm just the memeist, apparently.

@El'endiaStarman Solid angles are cool. I once had to make a seminar lecture about proving eulers formula V-E+F=2 for convex polyhedrons using solid angles. Too bad it is taught almost nowhere.

Yes! My team lead said "I need someone other than Rainbolt to respond to the email from [some customer]."

Damn. How bad was your last response? :P

I've taken every single one for the last three days and haven't gotten much actual development done, and he noticed. Always nice.

The bad part was deciphering a french manuscript by Descartes=)

3:39 PM
It's nice to finally have a name for a vague concept I've had in my mind for a while.

@Rainbolt noice

@Geobits The last response I got was, and I quote, "This is very useful information, thanks a lot!"

@El'endiaStarman You might also like this book, but unfortunately it is quite expensive, but I once got it as a gift=)

@flawr Yet another branch of mathematics that was forgotten because it was replaced by better tools.

@El'endiaStarman Sometimes there are still quite elegant proofs or ideas you can apply in other areas.
One of the most elegant proofs I know is basically deriving the area of a spherical triangle, quite simple but quite cool=)

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ how do you know?
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ one still has 0 votes.

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ because my school bans nethack et al

but how do they know what nethack is?

because its a video game
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ no?

But why in the world does my oration answer have 34 votes???
not begging for votes, just merely asking what makes it special.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ <3

@KennyLau Most cycle detection algorithms will fail on this because they generally assume that one number will always be followed by the same number. Your sequence, for example, has 3s followed by a 1 and a 5, which the tortoise and hare algorithm will fail on because it's not designed for this kind of cycle detection.

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ o_o everytime I make a language, someone else uses it and gets 30+ votes, or no one uses it. :P

@KennyLau You could modify that algorithm to return true if [x_i, x_i+1, ..., x_j-1] == [x_j, x_j+1, ..., x_(j+j-i-1)].

Q: Run through an array

Cᴏɴᴏʀ O'BʀɪᴇɴWe all often hear the idiom "walk through the array" to mean "map the array over the following function". However, I need it done (now!), so I want you to run through the array. @KennyLau Hi 2000rep now!

@Optimizer Thanks

in other news, I reduced my browser tabs from about 134 to 28
feels good

your browser is saying the same thing

5:23 PM
people that accept to have more tabs than the max number before it starts scrolling are the worst

so is your RAM, if your browser is chrome

I use chromium (basically the same), and multiple windows

chrome is memory avid

yeah.. it tends to eat a lot, but when something crashes, it doesn't take the whole browser with it, and that's essential
plus now I have plenty of RAM :)

1TB?

5:30 PM
not quite, only about 3% of that

@aditsu 4GB.

@zyabin101 4GB is about 3% of 128GB

all the 75% are gone by the Windowwwwws.

rekt
@Agawa001 solution: don't use windows

5:37 PM
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ Then 75% go to Linux.

... what about avocadOS?
nvm, then 75% goes to juicing avocad

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ Nobody wants to work on it.
