I would absolutely write a much longer meta post trashing the idea more thoroughly and proposing the alternative that we make no changes, but I simply have no time right now
In any case, I've made the argument many times before that banning classes of questions on the basis of a single one is completely illogical; I'm sure someone can find a meta post I've written before to that effect.
I'll write an answer later if necessary. Right now I've been up for 72 hours on caffeine and I'm stuck doing some incredibly tedious and time-consuming stuff that should have been done a long time ago, which is making me really stressed out for bad reasons, which is not a good mood to be in on meta.
