The thing that's happening at AGDQ right now is amazing.

They played Pokemon Red in a Super Gameboy in a SNES. A real SNES, mind you. Using a TAS bot, they were able to execute arbitrary code in Pokemon, which allowed them to reprogram the Super Gameboy, which allowed them to reprogram the SNES. It's now streaming Twitch chat through the controller cables and rendering it on the screen.

Basically, place your ship along the centerline, back up until you see the circle, thrust down until you touch the ground (slowly), then thrust forward until you think your ship fits inside the circle, then kill the thrusters.

It takes a bit longer to dock, but it wasn't that hard.

I move to the center of the docking bay and the number usually comes back within a few seconds.

If you can't dock by the time the timer gets to ~3 minutes, I'd say leave the station, cancel the docking request, and re-try.

In that order. Do not cancel your docking request while you're in the station.

The issue is the AI and phases. Essentially, cancelling your docking request makes it look like you just entered the station without requesting docking in the first place.
