@ZachSaucier @Shokhet If the sink/shower drain questions are distinct enough to warrant separate questions we may need to address this one: lifehacks.stackexchange.com/q/2095/32
See Robert's answer on this " Cooking food is not a lifehack — not unless there's something so novel or so unique about the circumstances, that the solution isn't really well-known or already commonly taught in that subject space."
@darthnesscoveredthesky that's the thing - you wouldn't. And I'm not suggesting the question needs to be more general, I'm just trying to think of why your question seems off topic whereas others aren't
@SabreTooth Oh dear, you really put effort into it :) And what articles did you find errors in, I find Wikipedia good for finding sources sometimes in their references. I've only found a few errors and troller edits I have found plenty.
I cook a lot and anyone with cooking experience knows that many foods sticks to the inside of the measuring cups or food pan, in general. These foods include honey, and other viscous fluids. I have tried:
Pouring them fast
Pouring them on only one side and then having less to clean.

I don't see the problem with that question. He has a real-world (=not psychological) problem, and a few things he tried that simply don't work.....it might be written/structured a little better, but that's about it
although I do agree that
I don't think Zach meant to say that it's off-topic here, but rather that you might find better answers there. They're the food professionals, after all. — Shokhet1 min ago
@ZachSaucier What do you think of the question now that it's been edited?
See Robert's answer on this " Cooking food is not a lifehack — not unless there's something so novel or so unique about the circumstances, that the solution isn't really well-known or already commonly taught in that subject space."
@Shokhet that's what I'm trying to do...
and by that statement I'm not saying it's off topic
wow, this comment got a score of 8! .....is this what you meant?
I don't know what kind of answer you'll get here, but you might have a better time asking this question over at gardening.stackexchange.com. Being on-topic on another site does not mean that it's off-topic here, but I think you stand a chance of getting a better answer there. — ShokhetDec 11 at 15:18
Thanks @SabreTooth. I wanted to share this simple hack to everyone, so I posted this question :P. Coz many times I suffered. Also believing we will get more good answers only if we start a thread on the topic
@ZachSaucier I have made the scientific-tool tag, and wrote a little wiki for it - my question is the first with it, but I envisage it won't be the last
So I was pointed in the direction of this discussion on meta and I'm wondering why a 'psychological problem' is off topic? Why can't there be a life hack that can deal with such issues?
In the particular example where an alarm was sub consciously turned off why is saying place the alarm out of ...
@J.Musser Half of the purpose of comments is to clarify what you're doing, to the OP; the other half of it (perhaps up to three quarters) is for those other users who are observing.
@ZachSaucier What more would you like him to add to the question? ....leaving a comment with your close vote would be more helpful than just voting to close
As noted in the answer below, it's not really possible to answer this effectively without having a better idea of what you're trying to accomplish - there are plenty of possible solutions here, but the "best" one will depend on the purpose for which you're removing the nails. — Shog9 ♦1 min ago
Can't dodge a vote I already received, can I? I don't feel it is appropriate to prevent others from answering by closing a question after having already availed myself of this privilege - therefore, I've donated this answer to the community. — William the Pleaser37 mins ago
On any SE site, in the First Posts review queue we review new user's posts. As with any queue, we can get the Custodian, Reviewer, and Steward badges for reviewing a certain number of items in this queue.

and I linked to apaul's answer in that same post xD meta.stackexchange.com/a/223613/215485 (I also chat with the second upvote answer's post in a SO chat)

it's gone - practically speaking, a science hack is not going to cut it here (in a similar way that experimental physics does not cut it at Physics.SE)
What if I want to ask a question for which I have't got any idea what to do?
What if I want to ask a question for other gender's general problems which I can not try? (She doesn't have internet access)
