@Davïd Far from new, indeed, and I know that people are loath to rehash the discussion. I don't think we're too far from agreement about the range of questions we want to allow; it's just the wording of the one reason for closure that may need to be re-evaluated (and I know Scott isn't the first one to question it).
I am comfortable with it as is ("Questions regarding systematic theology are off topic"), but Scott has a good point that most of the problematic questions would be caught by "too broad" or "no specific passage." The left over area I see, if there’s no "systematic theology" reason, would be questions primarily about application. To me, even if a question cites a specific verse, primary focus on modern application is off topic for a question.
