They found that the kids who identified as more black did worse than the average black, who did worse than the average identify-as-white-mixed, who did worse than the average white. I have a question about some sports sentence: The touchdown put them up to a 14-0 lead. I couldn't find the right sense of "put up" that would find this usage. Could it be sports slang?

Yo @robusto. Done with the latest episode this very minute. I, um. Dunno. What the fuck was that. Easily the weakest episode of the entire series so far. Pure cheese. Like a work of a completely different team of writers. I will rewatch it of course, likely many times over in fact, and might end up pulling a 180 one day, or who knows even tomorrow, but right here and now this is how I feel.
