When I was 5 years old, this is how I thought rockets were built; outdoors, with ladders.

@uhoh you have an old article! They were going to test fire that sucker yesterday but too windy. (Lift a big light large surface area thing with little control in high winds, bad mix). Today 11-4 CST time window.
It is amazing how fast they installed the Raptor and the very first one too. SSME would take months to install.

@geoffc almost all articles are old articles

Haha. BUt the pace is moving so fast, it is hard to keep up.
I was at a client in Florida, guy was former Navy, had a tattoo, it was of Rocket Ship Galileo. Had to show him the Hopper render vs Hopper as built image. It was literally the tattoo on his arm.

@geoffc so how soon will they do a test that leaves the ground, any idea?

@uhoh A fine fine question. First few tests are tethered (So it does not accidentally escape) and are to make sure they can load and start then stop the engine. Eventually they move to hover, then upsie daisie. Exact schedule? Probably depend on how the data comes back in.
