@peterh Hm. This one is quite visible. It's position so near the horizon is weird too but that may be because it is overhead elsewhere...

@Everyone All the GEO sats are above the Equator. So it depends only on your location, how far is their visible position from the horizon

as in elevation? perhaps 20deg... that fits. my lat is 21
@peterh: This entity is pretty bright though of course it could be because I'm seeing it framed between two buildings that block out most of anything else

@Everyone If it does not move, then a google sky map can be usedcto check, if it is a star or planet. If it is moving (compared to the background stars), then it is not a GEO sat.

@Everyone With google sky map, you can rotate your phone to the star and you will see it.
