They trashed the mandrel in LA Harbour for making 9m barrel sections in composite. They are ALL IN on stainless steel!

The galaxy scenario comprises 100 000 particles
It's basically a two body problem, where the particles don't feel each others gravity
Nevertheless, you can observe some cool things in that scenario, like tidal effects, and how galaxy collisions are not a good thing if you are a fan of spiral patterns
But doooood.... There's now a 12'th order integrator with an adaptive time step... It's out of this world :D :D :D

@HappyKoala congrats on the integrator! On my laptop the image doesn't really change in a noticeable way; the only thing I notice is the smoke coming out around most of the keys. Are you testing on a variety of devices or just a big system with a gamers GMU?
I remember someone commenting that their phone got hot, have you tried on a phone recently?
anyway 100 k particles is getting up there into science world so you could speed it up for us without large GPUs by lowering the error parameter or increasing the step size manually. Nobody will know.
