@RegDwigнt You've been panning for gold on MuseScore for so long it should be no surprise when you come up with something like that. I mean, that sure seems like the norm, not the exception.

> Schedule of audits planned for 2019–2020, with indication of completion status.
I wonder if this looks natural. The translator used the term "with notes on completion", which is a calque of Russian "с отметками о выполнении" (with marks indicating whether this particular audit has been completed).

@CowperKettle Looks okay to me. So does the earlier version.
Did we find out if @tchrist is okay?
Biden says we don’t need “Neanderthal” thinking on mask-wearing.
Walk like an Egyptian, think like a Neanderthal.

5:08 AM
@Robusto yeah. Sometimes it's like. You know, like how if I eat a cake, you can't eat that cake anymore. It's like that. Every time I read a note, someone else can read one note less.

@Xanne Maybe someone has his email?

Word of the day: mock recall

6:39 AM
@CowperKettle Interesting, I hadn’t heard about mock recalls before (one up and one down) and would have thought it was something like “Imagine you remember your fifth birthday.”
A word of the regulatory age.

From an article on the seasonality of coronaviruses, a wonderful sentence: “Human factors, such as behaviors and activities that are closely associated with proximity of humans to one another, may contribute in seasonal cycles in virus transmission “
I would have said “the proximity,” but in fact article use is variable.
Australia: very low cases, likely to increase as they enter winter months.

9:43 AM
@Xanne I came across the term only today

@MattE.Эллен Whoa, good one.
@MattE.Эллен And, like, just about all of Queen.

The decade was not entirely disco.
Armed Forces is the third studio album by British musician Elvis Costello, released in the UK by Radar Records and in the US by Columbia in 1979. It was his second album with the Attractions, and the first to officially credit the Attractions on the cover. The album had the working title Emotional Fascism. The North American version omitted the track "Sunday's Best" and replaced it with Costello's version of Nick Lowe's "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding," which had been released the previous November as the B-side of Lowe's "American Squirm" single. Initial pressings of the...
Whoa, here I am leaving out David Fucking Bowie ...
Bowie only had like a dozen iconic albums in that decade.
And even his "disco" sound (Young Americans) was hipper than disco.
So, @Xanne, the ball is in your court. I could go on, but I think this refutation will suffice.

@Mitch !!
Very nice.

@Cerberus He said he would provide more detail later. I'll leave it to him to reveal to everyone what he wishes. The important thing is that he's OK.
