There are no good guys, so if he starts questioning Putin's treatment of the LGBTQ, it's politically beneficial to do so.

This should be obvious to most of us, but between all the masks and masquerade, it sometimes gets lost in the noise

@Robusto Yes. We have a clear distinction between neuter on the one hand and feminine-masculine on the other.

They have different articles, different pronouns (relative, personal), and partly different adjective endings.

The distinction between masculine and feminine is much weaker, though.

It is observed by careful writers, and by southerners and Flamands.

But I need to look up the gender of many m/f words in a dictionary in order to use them properly.

It is only expressed in possessive and personal pronouns.

Perhaps also in adjectives by southerners.

Het huis (n) - de staat (m) - de opening (f) [articles]

Het huis, dat ik zie - de staat, die ik zie - de opening, die ik zie [relative pronouns]

Een groot huis - een grote staat - een grote opening [indefinite adjectives]

Het is groot - hij is groot - zij is groot [personal pronouns; but the distinction between m and f is often not observed]
