@Færd I like to think of math as not a science but rather a tool of science. I also don't think of social science as science. While many universities grant a bachelor of science in math, many prefer the term bachelor of arts. I think math is more of an art.

Technically speaking, I suppose you could call it an art, but I don't feel comfortable with that either.

@Jasper what do you get? But most jobs which can be gotten by a general degree don't satisfy a mathematician, I think, because those jobs can't satisfy a mathematician's sense of achievement.
If a person who really loves math, she should hope to work on a field where she can exercise her specialties in math.

@CaptainBohemian It is very hard to become a professional mathematician. One must go to graduate school, finish your PhD, get a position as a post-doc, get a professorship, get tenure, etc. Many steps along the way, each one uncertain.

@Jasper actually I thought about entering graduate school when I was in undergraduate school and did that right after finishing undergraduate studies; I had never thought about what jobs to look for when being in undergraduate school because I just like to keep studying.

Such jobs do exist. And while @Jasper may choose to underscore the perils and pitfalls thereof, it's worth noting that you don't have to be a Fields Medal candidate to have a very stimulating career.
Teaching, for example, is a great way to share your enthusiasm for a subject, even while you're still pursuing your own studies in it.
The very best teachers/professors I ever had were ones whose enthusiasm for their subject carried into their teaching.

@Mitch I sometimes console myself that we don't live in smart enough conditions (environmental, social, etc structures) for our level of intelligence. Not smart enough for everything to work out pleasantly.
So, ultimately, it's not our fault.
But that's the kind of philosophical "cool" that I often lose in my day-to-day life.

I am curious how the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U will perform in a laptop.
It has 8 cores and 16 threads and uses very little power. It is supposed to beat the Intel Core i7-1065G7.
I hope more laptops will use these new AMD chips later this year.
