I cannot seem to find the best way to express this, both in terms of grammar and "correct sounding" feel to English/American readers (which I am not).

@DavidM there's a couple more sites where I saw that previously. I think maybe Arqade and Sci-Fi.
Never looked at the markup but yeah individual sites have their own extensions.
Like Maths for formulas, or Music for sheet music.
And maybe Christianity for pictures of cats.
Stuff like that.
@marcellothearcane well yeah that's an old one.
There's that other old anecdote that I told my violin teacher just last week. About an orchestra rehearsal where the conductor urges the timpani player to play softer and softer and softer. Until the percussionist just gives up and doesn't play at all. The conductor goes yes! Perfect! Although if you could play it just a tad softer still, it would be even better.
She told me right back how on numerous occasions half of the string section she sat on just wouldn't play, for various reasons, and the conductors (different conductors on different occasions) would give them a thumbs up for how perfect the sound was.
Many say, fake it till you make it. I say, don't even bother. Do nothing till you make it.

Who the fuck cares.
Nobody gives a fuck because there's nothing to give fuck about.
> Not only is the Trump administration profoundly crooked, but it is also so hopelessly inept that it’s unable to keep its machinations secret. It’s as if the Three Stooges starred in a sequel to “Breaking Bad.”
Thank you, Max Boot.
@RegDwigнt I would say to him this "If you have a problem with counting, maybe percussionist isn't the future you should be striving for."
Also, counting is what percussionists do even when they are actually playing notes.
But keerist, I used to get annoyed my first year at the conservatory when orchestra rehearsals turned out to be primarily string sectionals. There I would be, having counted out 36 full measures like a good boy, flute to lips, lungs inflated, ready to dazzle ... and the conductor would put down his arms and say "OK, let's take it from M again, and this time I want the cellos to clean up the pizz."
Which was unfair, of course, because we in the flute section had already had a sectional to clean up our parts.
But yeah, it was only worse for percussionists. They were fun to watch, though, if you dared turn around and look at them during a rehearsal.
The good ones look a bit like marionettes as they count out the subdivisions of the beats in their joints ... and a oney and a twoey and a ... and then the mallet comes down on the tympanum skin exactly at the precise moment it should.
Boom.
@RegDwigнt Haven't they spent any time with Hanon, ferchrissakes? Hanon and a metronome—the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.
Someone who is consulted is a consultant, but who is the one who consults? 'Asker' sounds informal, 'consulter' doesn't pass my spell check, 'help-seeker' sounds too pathological.
Is there a sensible antonym?
