And really "the previous week" heavily suggests that neither option will work and you're really lookiing for Past Perfect. But maybe you just mean "last week".

How are you liking them flutes.

@RegDwigнt Well, I liked it for the first 8 or 12 measures before the monotony kicked in. Also, someone oughta tell that guy that if anybody is going to solo it's going to be Flute 1, not Flute 2. Also, no need to have a complete orchestral stave after page 1 if the full orchestra isn't playing. Also, Flute 2 shouldn't have the more interesting (or more involved part). And I get that he likes flutes to play ostinato patterns, but usually you don't limit the entire piece to just that ...

@RegDwigнt Wait, what? Unless things have changed since the last century, flutes are not violins, and thus you cannot divisi two flutes into four parts. Also, see above: monotony.

BTW, I see I wrote stave when I meant staff. I hate when that happens.

And I hate people who do that. So ... I hate myself a little right now.
