@tchrist: Wow, that really seemed perfunctory. Like they were reading a list of loose ends that had to be tied up before they could pay off the actors and go home.

Also, they really gave Dani a raw deal. I mean, what she did this season was so out of character, without proper foundation being laid, etc.

When LotR ended, I felt complete, as if I had partaken of a feast, and was sated by the story. Here I just feel like I've been eating junk food, and grazing the bottom of the chips bowl.

Also, what an oatmealy nothing Jon Snow turned out to be. He was singularly devoid of passion. Even killing <spoiler>, he might as well have been polishing leather for all the involvement he showed.
