I see "onto a laptop" better than "into a laptop" because then the reader won't think about immersive experiences, but rather about action and just the process of doing and getting a work done.
Obviously, what you sit on is a seat. So, perhaps, "onto the seat infront of the typewriter" might be a more preffered, albeit long-winded choice.
@Gigili Just as the hero takes his spear and shield from above the mantel piece, girding himself for the exaltation of suffering that is combat, as his hand is about to open the door to leave for untold misery of either himself or countless others...
His mom says: "Are you sure you'l be warm enough? How about that wind breaker we got you for your birthday a few years ago? It's light and won't get in the way but you'll be more comfortable. And it looks good on you. Or really, you make it look good. Here are some tissues too just in case. You never know."
also clarity. most images don't come across well when thumbnailed. It took some trial and error. They look really good when big but when miniaturized, all the detail that made it so good is now too small to notice.
