@Robusto well they kinda don't, that's the point. They stopped caring a long time ago, unless you're Metallica or Madonna. Nowadays it's just yeah whatever, it's clearly not yours but we'll let it slide as long as someone else gets the moneys and not you.

Now, people say Article 13 will take it all down all over again, but then again people say Article 13 will just take down all of YouTube altogether, and I'm pretty sure Google will find plenty of ways around that, or indeed long has.

That video above has been up since 2015 alright. Of course the CD came out in like 1997, at least that's when I got it, so I still got some bang for my buck. But it kinda makes you understand why all of the world's music is only $10/month now, with only 0.03 cent actually going in the most general direction of the person whose music it is.

It's a commodity. Nobody will give you 30 Euro just because you're Gardiner playing Bach. Either take your 0.03 cent, or GTFO, there's no shortage of other people we can listen to instead.

And nobody at Google will care for your right to your measly couple cent. YouTube loses them ten million times that amount every minute, like. They don't care.
