11:00 PM
Grr, my bus is here totally between scheduled times. I suppose I should be happy and just pretend it is 15 min early instead of late.

Do you have something like "crossed line" in a plot?
I mean, does it make sense?
I want to address something in a plot which is under that "crossed line"

user19161
@Gigili First what do you mean by crossed line and also plot?

Um, plot or figure - something is shown in x-axis and y-axis
Um, a line crossed the curve or something

user19161
OK so you are saying there is a line and a curve on the xy-plane and they intersect?

Yes, something like that

user19161
11:10 PM
I am not sure what you mean by crossed line or under crossed line.

user19161
You could describe exactly or show a picture.

This is the context:
G2HS is used as an antigen to shorten plits which contain a complete virus and antigen of type 2 Herpes Simplex virus (HSV-2) and the results of this plot shows that antibodies existance is caused by HSV-2 infection and under the crossed line in this plot shows the number of plasma which are resistance to HSV-2 or didn’t have any communication with these viruses during their life

user19161
@Gigili I cannot tell from this passage alone which is also with spelling errors and other errors.

Okay, thank you.
@aedia: Have minute to read the paragraph I translated?

Hmm. Reading now...

11:14 PM
Thank you.

user19161
There might be a diagram somewhere to which this refers. I am not sure if this is a translation from another language.

I'm saying it is, I did translate it!

It is hard to tell what is "under the crossed line". If it is an area marked in a way, maybe say "the shaded area below the intersection of blah and blah represents..."

user19161
@Gigili Then that is even more difficult to decipher because technical terms when translated do not become what they are supposed to be!

@aediaλ Aha, got an idea. Is "below the intersection line" correct?
Also, is the part "the number of plasma" okay?

11:19 PM
Sorry might be slow to respond due to commuting...

Oh sorry, didn't know that.

user19161
@Gigili I really don't think this is answerable unless we know exactly what the graph looks like.

@WillHunting What spelling errors or other errors were you referring to?

Below the intersection line is grammatical, but depends on the picture if it makes sense. Intersection is usually a point

I don't know it either. that's all I know.

11:22 PM
i'm quite sure that an “intersection line” is the line formed by the intersection of two surfaces, e.g. when a plane goes through a spherical surface, the “intersection line” would be a circle

Oh, man

and since Gigili is probably talking about a 2-dimensional graph, this is not the case

user19161
@Gigili For example, existence and not existance. But I can't correct the passage either because I am not sure what it means.

=\

Oh, hmm. But does that seem to make sense in this context @vit ... Oh, ok, you're too fast for my phone :)

11:23 PM
So crossed line would make more sense than intersection line?

We really need the diagram to answer that
You could draw it in Paint or something and then post here

Re number of plasma, plasma is uncountable so that doesn't quite make sense either

I don't have it, it's a paragraph only without any diagrams. Maybe what's the best translation one could write without context?

Well, I suppose you understand the text in its original language and might be able to draw the diagram it describes, no?

user19161
I am afraid this is completely unanswerable, sorry.

11:27 PM
Um, there is an area in the so called diagram which represents the number of plasma which are resistance to HSV-2 or didn’t have any communication with these viruses during their life
What about this, makes sense?
@aediaλ What should I say instead?

Q: Meaning of "one in his/her own underwear"

TimI wonder what it means by "someone is in his/her underwear" both literally and figuratively? For example, When people downvote your posts arbitrarily just imagine them in their underwear. Thanks!

user19161
Interesting!

I am marking up something for you @gigili, one moment. However I'm really not sure about the ending - it seems to me that it wouldn't be plasma being talked about but something in the plasma? Can you check if maybe there is another word or different translation of the thing that has the resistance?
I don't know enough about this particular context to make a good guess there

So kind of you @aedia, thank you very much.
No, there's no other words. The literal translation would be "the number of plasma which are resistance to HSV-2"

Plasma cells, also called plasma B cells, plasmocytes, and effector B cells, are white blood cells which produce large volumes of antibodies. They are transported by the blood plasma and the lymphatic system. Like all blood cells, plasma cells ultimately originate in the bone marrow; however, these cells leave the bone marrow as B cells, before terminal differentiation into plasma cells, normally in lymph nodes. Development After leaving the bone marrow, the B cell acts as an antigen presenting cell (APC) and internalizes offending antigens. That antigen is taken up by the B cell throug...

11:36 PM
Holla.

So if it's plasma cell, it's countable. right @Vitaly?

at least that's what “communication with these viruses” makes me think of
Hi @Kit

How are you feeling today, @Vitaly?

@Gigili Yes, but we can't know for certain if that's what the original paragraph is talking about

G2HS is used as an antigen to ?shorten plots [what is done with the plots? Are they created?] which contain a complete virus and antigen of type 2 Herpes Simplex virus (HSV-2).

11:38 PM
Plots?

@KitFox i feel crushed: the latest HP:MoR chapter ends in a terrible cliffhanger and it's a whole 'nother week of waiting for an update

@Vitaly i no rite?

@aediaλ Plits?

he results of this plot show that the antibody's existence [or antibodies' if plural] is caused by HSV-2 infection. The ?area under the intersection of the lines [really not sure w/o picture] in this plot shows the number of ?plasma[really not sure] which are resistant to HSV-2 or which were never exposed to these viruses during their life.

@Gigili plit isn't a word in English

11:40 PM
Ok, it is just too hard to paste/edit on this darn phone. I tried though
Hope at least helps a little

If you repost, maybe I can help.
Hi @aedia!

@aediaλ Helped a lot, thank you very much.

Thats it
Hi @kit

G2HS is used as an antigen to shorten plits which contain a complete virus and antigen of type 2 Herpes Simplex virus (HSV-2) and the results of this diagram represents that the produced antibodies are caused by HSV-2 infection and below the intersection line in this diagram represents the number of plasmas which are resistance to HSV-2 or didn’t have any communication with these viruses during their life

11:42 PM
Thanks, I was being lazy.

But it's written "plit" which I presume is a special name or something.

Lemme see if I can find anything. "Plit" is an odd word.

Idk what shortened plits would be, scared to Google that

I have to figure it is actually "split" or something.

Ohh good guess but... Why are we shortening them? Are they not greasy already? ;)

11:46 PM
Yes yes, I think it should be that, "split" ... Thank you.

Does anybody else here think that “shortened splits” does not make sense either, at least not in that context?

G2HS is used as an antigen to shorten splits that contain a complete type 2 Herpes Simplex virus (HSV-2).
Shortened splits might make sense, depending on the preparation protocol.

@vit :(

It is hard to understand the sentence without knowing the procedure.

Sorry just had to advertise the presence of my emoticon keys. I also have :P on my keypad as a single button.

I asked them to provide more context.

I <3 them (no, that is not one key, which makes me :'( )

What's the brand of it?

user19161
@aediaλ Good to know!

I wonder if they are doing ELISA.

@gigili HTC EVO

11:55 PM
@MrShinyandNew: All right, I have installed it specially for you.

user19161
@Cerberus Not for me?

Oh, you did not ask me...
But, sure, you can have some of it too!

user19161
I always ask you to install all updates!

Hey @DavidWallace, nice to see you.

You too. Hi all.
Bear with me while I read the transcript for a few minutes.

11:58 PM
prances and growls

Pft, I dislike HTC phones.

Maybe it's a split-well analysis?

¿por qué?
