@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 No, it's gapless only on songs that are blended into one another. Discrete songs have a pause between them.
In other words, gapless on songs that are supposed to be gapless.
Not on those that aren't.
@crl *decent
@MετάEd It's an issue in digital players, or has been. It's been solved for ten years, but some players haven't kept up.

@Robusto Chalk up another win for vinyl.

@MετάEd Yeah, keep your surface hiss, your cracks and pops, your 20 minutes to a side, your artificially boosted bass, and all that.
Hey, I listened to vinyl for 30 years before they came out with digital, and I have never looked back.
Also your insanely expensive turntables, tube amps, and all the retro trendy shit that sucks ass (imo).

10:34 PM
Sooooo, how 'bout them Royals?

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 Nice. Kinda Kinks/Velvet Underground kinda thing goin' on.

@Robusto sho 'nuff.

Whoa.
I gotta leave for dinner.
I'm totally adding these gentlemen to my Pandora station.

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 Bon appetit

11:02 PM
@Robusto Danke.

What kinda food?

@Robusto Bar. Grilled chicken 'n tots.

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 I hear some Amboy Dukes in there
@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 These are all kinda proto-punkish.
Very interesting.

@Robusto You're doing it wrong.

@MετάEd I did it pretty right for years and years.
I had, variously, an Empire turntable, a Thorens turntable with a Rabco arm (IIRC), Macintosh tube amp, all that stuff
Can't remember the cartridge I used, but my next-best cartridge was a Shure V-15 Type 2 (???)
Can't remember this stuff now.
The Empire turntable tracked at .25 grams.
Gawd, and then there were different styluses and the whole rigmarole.
It gives me fits just to think about it
And, of course, I still have my JBL L-112 speakers. Didn't get rid of those.
