@tchrist it looked domestic. But it had no collar. I assume that a wild cat wouldn't be as clean as this one was. I was walking down the street with a friend, and the cat came out of the long grass on some unkempt lawn and came straight for me.

It was fun.

It's eyes were pale, so I thought it was maybe blind, and I stepped aside, but it corrected course and started rubbing itself on my legs.

I am natively Dutch, and to me, "to" makes the most sense intuitively, since in Dutch grammar you pose a question, you don't ask it. I'm aware however that "to" is incorrect in English.
