Spanish has lots of minimal-triples of three-syllable words where the only distinction is which of the three syllables receives the stress. If you strip out stress markings, it can become confusing, since you just erased the distinction between 1st-person singular present tense and 3rd-person singular past tense. Read that wrong and it becomes weird.
@MattЭллен OK, because I am about to order something overseas for the first time in my life, previously my friends brought it back for me from overseas... =)
@DamkerngT. I see. That one isn’t given a Thai name on my local Thai restaurant’s menu. The place is run by a couple: he’s American but she’s Thai. It’s quite popular here.
It’s just called “Beef Salad – With Lime Juice, Mint, Thai Chilies, Tomato & Cucumber” there. On the other hand, Larb is two lines up from that.
We desperately need the close reason "I don't want to ask the only person who actually knows, gimme unqualified opinions of random people off the Internet instead".
Dear Buddha, I do not want a pony anymore, please just give me the close reason and we're quits.
@skullpatrol Dear God, this is Buddha. Small problem. These guys are wishing for a pony. But I had already killed it. Burger Tuesday ya know, amiright? So anyway, do you have a spare pony? You're the rockin creator dude, all I do is make people one with everything.
