> The soliton model applied to the electrons can be extended to the electromagnetic field providing an unambiguous description for the photon. In so doing a clear image of quantum mechanics emerges, including quantum optics, QED and field quantization. To our belief this description is of highly pedagogical value.
@JohnDuffield was brainstorming lately eg wrt recent Physics chat interactions, had a few ideas to share. am aware you work highly independently however, would you like to (continue) to advance the "fluid paradigm" with some coordinated effort?
@vzn on that note, I might point to the following (very extended) abstract by the one speaker I mentioned: http://conferences.phs.uoa.gr/andhps/Files/Abstracts/Bokulich.pdf
@JohnDuffield ok. apparently despite all your instigation on Physics chat line & elsewhere eg reddit and ...?, you seem to prefer to work entirely alone. do question that, but its obviously your call. however did want to say thx for responding to Phases criticism, however think increasingly hes essentially just trolling you/ me, also BMeuer doing the same, maybe some others etc...
@vzn : I don't prefer to work entirely alone, it's just that I started something of a project and I mean to finish it. I don't think BMeuer was being a troll at all.
@JohnDuffield there are several recent chat lines of him asking for clarification with no seriousness at all, hence reminding me of Phase, although he seems to do it also with ACM. you have noticed, there is some "mockery" of "new ideas" going on in the room? what project are you meaning to finish? does it have a timeline?
@JohnDuffield personally think chatting a lot on Physics to network/ elucidate new physics povs comes close )( to "working with others"... (from long experience BMeurer is a nice guy but he is not all that into physics at times, sometimes nearly mocking it, like some others in the room... they are probably <~½ both our ages...)
