@IsaacMoses That's a good idea. It might be good to come up with some possible text ideas for the Q. E.g., "Mi Yodeya Referencer: The/An easier way to link your sources."
That's pretty vanilla, I think. I'd love other suggestions, if anyone has 'em?

@HodofHod Mesoret haInternet?
Torah Or: Mi Yodeya?
Hyperlinks: Mi Yodeya?

@HodofHod "Instead of hunting up a link for a basic source, just type."
@HodofHod "Magically convert a citation into a link."

@HodofHod "Type [t Deut 30 12 lu], get Deut 30:12, just like that."
I guess that wouldn't be too impressive in an image
That plus a little screencap of part of the resulting Chabad page with a little line connecting them might get the message across

@DoubleAA Those are good, but may not be explanatory enough.
@IsaacMoses Might be hard to put/see in a 220x250
@IsaacMoses I like this one. Concise.

@DoubleAA @IsaacMoses What do you think about: "Post your creation as an answer to this question. Following a short submission period, the ad voted highest (assuming more than one is submitted) will be posted as an answer to the Community Ad post."
Too convoluted a process?

@HodofHod yeah - the Community Ad post itself takes care of that process. All you want is to encourage people to post proposed Community Ads.

@msh210 I guess I'm concerned that multiple ads will be submitted there and they'll cannibalize each others' votes.

@HodofHod Yeah, I see the concern. That's a possible result.
@HodofHod An alternative is to continue to brainstorm here and then have one person create an ad, post a draft here, get feedback, revise, etc., and post it on the main Ads post.

@HodofHod If you get one person to generate an ad in response to whatever call you put out, you'll be fortunate. Out meta's not teeming with designers.

that is true :D/D:

Q: RFP: Mi Yodeya Referencer Community Ad

HodofHodA while back, with Hashem's help, the community came together to create the Mi Yodeya Referencer. If you're on this Meta reading this question, chances are you've heard of it. But others may not have. That's why some have suggested (HT: @Menachem and @MonicaCellio) creating a Community Promotio...

As always with community driven posts, feel free to make (even substantial) revisions.
Darn. It won't let me start my post with "Hi there."
Hmm. Maybe I should have made it more in the image of:

Q: Can you design a Community Promotion Ad for the Weekly Topic Challenge?

Isaac MosesAs reported here, we have, for a limited time, the ability to create Community Promotion Ads to help build awareness for some of our regular site promotions, and how well we utilize this new tool is going to be watched closely. So, I'd like to get a head start on ads for the features that we had...
