Hello folks, I'd just like to point out there are only two days left to offer an opinion to the United States FCC about the Lightsquared comprimising GPS controversy.

As a canadian north of 60N I'm unlikely to be affected directly no matter what the FCC final decision is, but I'm concerned the cascading effects could be truly significant no matter where we live.

A general note: it looks like after 30(?) days of inactivity chat rooms are frozen so I created a new one (the one you're looking at now). The old one, if you're curious, is at chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/133/gis. If this one dies too I'll just let it lie, as obviously it's just not considered a useful tool for our community.
