greetings from Syria you guys, I know this is a very broad question, but I'd appreciate some help. Due to many technical and financial complications I have to construct a map totally from scratch and use in C# application. How can I start from satellite imagery and reach something that resembles bing and google satellite map?

I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it done, I just need a total beginner's starting point

But to save the troubles, I'm not able to buy anything online, I'm no stingy or anything but Syria is a financial wasteland and no banking transactions are allowed, so no paypal, visa card, master card, nothing... thank you guys in advance
