@ChrisW I certainly think I'm seeing an uptick in poor questions and upvoting them is likely to encourage more. The upvotes could be coming from a "There's no such thing as a bad question" sentiment by users not appreciating the role downvotes play in maintaining Q&A quality.

@PolyGeo Possible. While we're mostly talking about single-vote questions at the moment, it is a site quality concern. If not for badges, I'm concerned about why people think these are good questions worthy of upvote (as opposed to no vote).

@ChrisW I suspect such votes are being applied to encourage the user rather than to assess the quality of the question - I think the You gotta get this to get us. paragraph in meta.stackexchange.com/questions/244534/… is something such voters should read but may not be ready to digest.
