@underdark I was busy with some stuff today but I managed to get some of it working. I would request a feature though, to have an other option for time format that opens up a textbox where I can input manually the how the date formatting looks like

@dassouki good to hear! i was thinking about such a feature but unfortunately, the way it is implemented right now only allows for datetime formats which sort correctly when interpreted as string. (since qgis knowns no date data type for data sources like shapefile - and i don't even know if it would be in the specifications.)
which format would you have needed?

I think it'll be better to split the date and time field as well
i'm not sure really

hello! (my first gis chat!)

I think it's primarily due to the fact that different layers have different timestamp formats
hey

anyone online work with python geoprocessing/debugging?
I am trying to figure out the role of the parameters you can set through arcgis toolbox properties on a custom script - I presume that this is the last step in the devleopment of a script? before that - the parameters need to be set/input in the inveractive python window (pythonwin)?
I have developed python scripts - but not all the way through to something that could be used by others

are you talking about arcgis?

yes i am

10:11 PM
umm your best bet would be to ask it on a separate question. I don't do much arcgis scriptting

ok thanks.

@whuber how's it going?
