I am not really sure whether comments can be simply moved from one question to another. I have asked about this on Meta Stack Exchange: What happens to the comments when two questions are merged?
@YCor I guess that when you wrote "this can be done manually", you meant that somebody can post a new comment (to the newer question) which contains the useful content from the comments on the original question, right?

I am not sure why this problem was down-voted or why it was put on hold. There is at least one paper in the literature on infinite magic squares (different from this generalization): Antoine Salomon, "Infinite sized magic square," the American Mathematical Monthly (January 2014). hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-01401844v4/document There is also a discussion elsewhere on this site about infinite magic squares. mathoverflow.net/questions/53420/… If this problem is somehow trivial, then someone can provide the solution. — Tri Oct 15 at 15:06

Of course, users with sufficient reputation can still see the comment even after the question is deleted.

@MartinSleziak well, I've copied the relevant part of Tir's comment into the post 344011. I think none of the remainder of the comments is worth being copied (there are some relevant comments by B. Barber, but they are superseded by his answer to 344011).
