It seems that a new look is coming in the near future - it will probably take some time to get used to: Live: Left nav, new theming and responsiveness

Q: Live: Left nav, new theming and responsiveness

Joe FriendWe have released left navigation bar, our new theming and a our initial responsive design work on Stack Overflow and Meta Stack Exchange (it's been live on MSO for a week). This work has been in progress and being discussed with the community for several months. The motivation for the work is cov...

The current plan seems to be:
> July - September: release to the remaining sites. As we have more details we will update individual communities in their local meta.
That post has been in community bulletin for some time. I only had a closer look at it after I have noticed that Meta Stack Exchange looks differently.

Some people might be wondering why two posts for collaborative editing so close after each other: My question was closed on MO because it is not research level. Where should I ask instead? and How does one type mathematical formulas on this site?
Probably they might be useful regardless of this, but it is connected to this proposal: Should users be shown some basic information before posting the first question?
I was encouraged by Federico Poloni who encouraged me that we should go ahead. See his answer in that thread and also we talked a bit about this here in chat.
When I was trying to create some basic template for the new "How to Ask?" page, i realized that I am not really satisfied with any of the links I considered for these two topics (MathJax help, other suitable sites).
I think that it might be better to have a post on meta for this purpose - the advantage is that it can be edited and updated by regular users at any time. (As opposed to help center, where some pages are mod-editable but most of them can only be edited by SE staff.)
