@DavidRoberts You have recently brought up possibility of leaving SE here: At what point should MO recognise it needs to leave Stack Exchange Inc?
I was curious whether you think that MO should actually be able to maintain the site by itself.
As an example - the only thing where the hosting is provided by MO is . It is down since January 2020 - and we have never heard from the mods whether they plan to leave it this way
This is what I outlined in my answer here: What would be the disadvantages of a (hypothetical) MOexit?
So after the MOexit, is it possible that the main site would end similarly as the old tea?

Sorry for two pings in a quick succession - here and in the MO editors' lounge. When I came here, your avatar was shown in the chatroom - since I had two questions I wanted to ask for some time, I tried to use the opportunity.
Probably the system showing which users are present in a chatroom isn't really that realiable.
