@FedericoPoloni Thanks for mentioning this in a comment, maybe this could bring attention of some users to the post on meta. I will just say that I have not forgotten my promise to contact moderators about this.

As I suggested, we can simply wait for some time (say two weeks) whether somebody else will comment or edit. If we hear nothing from mods until then, I can ping one of the moderators here in chat to make sure that they are aware of the new developments on that post.
Today I might be a bit busy, but if I do not find time to do that today, I will try to do so during this weekend.

BTW I am a bit surprised that this question got one upvote. It's a basic question from linear algebra, not something for MO. (Score is still negative, though.)
