Q: At what point is a new soul created according to the Catholic Church?

KrisIt seems clear that Catholic Church rejected Origen's claim that souls were created and existed before conception and birth. Does the Church pinpoint fertilization of the egg as the moment a soul is created, or upon implantation, or once the heart starts beating, or at some other stage before bi...

King David in Psalm51:5 "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.". Clearly King David support Origen reflections much more Jeremiah1:5 as the wording is "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you". Before conception God already knew Jeremiah. I will try to support this with Canonical Teaching as you required for an acceptable answer.
@Korvin I have to pick Jeremiah & David as that was included in the question, I did not cherry pick-it but I chose it to respond to addressed the question. The Great verse of pre-existence is when God said "let us make man in our image & likeness"..."male & female He created them". Now if you can fathom this verse using Isaiah55:11 and God already rested in the 7th Day .This means all the 'number of souls" beginning from Adam up to last soul on earth were already "created".in Day4. Can you see Wisdom in God saying "male & female was already created" eventhought Adam were not yet existed?

This question does not mention Jeremiah or David @jongricafort

@Korvin I hope you see the sequence of God creation, the soul was created first in the prophetic mind of God "male & female He created them", so the soul of Adam & Eve already existed. Now the second step is to form a material body which Adam was taken from the soil of the earth. The misunderstanding here is when Adam was made to sleep he already have "body&soul'..God does not BREATHE a soul, God Breathe Divine Life/Sanctifying Grace or the spirit of God in a degree of Holiness only God knows for Adam to understand the things of God. as St.Paul explain in Corinthians. God already rested 7thDay
@Kris read the featured question new details for your reference. it included even Jesus,Mary,Adam & Eve and even you..

@jongricafort where do I find the instructions from peter turner?

@Kris This question has an open bounty worth +500 reputation from Peter Turner♦ ending in 6 days. The question is widely applicable to a large audience. A detailed canonical answer is required to address all the concerns. I'm fairly certain that the Catholic Church has issued a definitive teaching on this subject. That the soul is created at the moment of conception. Ideally an answer would cover every created soul (including me, you, Adam, Eve, Jeremiah, David, The Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ)

Thanks I missed that completely @jongricafort. I am using the app I don’t see those details
Sorry for the confusion I just logged in to the website and I see note from peter turner that was not viewable in the app I use on my iPhone .

@kris
I didn't mean to subvert the question, I just thought a good answer would have those details in there.

I am thankful that you did I never accepted an answer here because like you I felt there must be a definite answer that rules out pre existence according to cc I think a new question might delve how does cc interpret what it means for god to know an individual before they were conceived like Jeremiah
