Code reviews, style guidelines, and rules of thumb in certain languages are quite a bit fuzzy, aren't they? How could "dec %ecx, jnz loop, ret" be more or less clear than it already is? Do I really need to include a comment stating the obvious that it is the loop and the loop's counter?
