Q: Modernized Javascript randomULID() Generator - Smaller and Optimized

suchislifeI've finally finished these 2 scripts and would like to get some feedback. Seeking feedback on a modernized ULID (Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifier) generator in TypeScript. Reduced size compared to examples on GitHub. Code includes functions for encoding BigInt as Base32,...

If you have working code which you want to optimise you should show it as a minimal reproducible example. If you consider it a code reviw you might want to consider codereview stackexchange instead. If instead of optimising you want help with first solution you shouöd rephrase the question accordingly. In that case please show code context, e.g. a minimal reproducible example of code calling a function with input data and using the output, the function itself could be empty or non-functional. — Yunnosch 58 secs ago

Q: Keras Tuner Subclass for Time Series Cross-Validation

Furkan ÖztürkCustom Keras Tuner with Time Series Cross-Validation I have written my own subclass of the default Keras tuner Tune class. Objective: I needed a way to incorporate time series cross-validation into the hyperparameter tuning process, which wasn't directly supported by the default Keras tuner. Fu...

So what you want to do, is protect a method from being altered without the test being updated? Sounds like overengineering for many cases and teamculture, or the "4 eye principle" (code reviews) is usually something which addresses that. — Randy 38 secs ago

You don't have 10k on Code Review so the link will be dead. However the user posted the question on Code Review and I closed hammered the post. You should read our help center before recommending Code Review again. — Peilonrayz 8 secs ago

Q: How can I efficiently count the number of triplets from an array with sums divisible by 'd'?

eviracThis post is hidden. You deleted this post 2 mins ago. I got this question on my test and i did the only logical thing I could think of which is run 3 nested loops and count each triplet. I obviously wouldn't pass test cases for large arrays... How can I make this code more efficient? public stat...

Q: pure C++ Deep Learning Library with dynamic and lazy performed computational graph

Eric CardozoI've started creating a deep learning framework in my spare time this year, you can find it here: https://github.com/xEricCardozo/deep-learning-library The code isn't fully documented yet, but it's very readable and structured in a highly decoupled manner, so it can grow indefinitely. The core par...

If the code works and you're looking for advice on improving it, Code Review is the appropriate place. But see codereview.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/5777/… first. — Barmar 48 secs ago

@Duga Rolled back and commented.
@CaptainObvious Example code from the repository readme file, not actual code from the source files.
Down vote, not yet VTC will give OP a day to fix it.

Q: Recording/Playback thread device in Object Pascal

cpicancoI have developed an audio recording and playback base device in Free Pascal. This device is built on Free Pascal's TThread class and utilizes the low-level audio API provided by SDL2, distinct from the higher-level mixer API. Audio Components (recording and playback) should be within external cla...

Q: Converting a nested for-each to use LINQ and JOIN

LonelySemiColonI have some for-each loops I am trying to convert to use LINQ with probably a JOIN or maybe a ZIP It should be possible. If the code works, would Code Review be a better forum for this question? — Old Dog Programmer 45 secs ago
@Duga We've seen worse, probably wouldn't fare too badly.
@Duga I think the OP is just asking if the algorithm is actually a sliding window, as opposed to some other non-sliding window algorithm.
Like a "did I do my homework right?" question
Probably.
Seems they hit the mark close enough.

Q: Calculating the sum of all k-sized sub-arrays in an array using sliding window algorithm

AlekamI need to calculate the sum of all k-sized sub-arrays in an array using sliding window algorithm. Is that a valid sliding window algorithm? If not, why? var sumOfSubArrays = function(arr, k) { let currentSubArray = 0; for(let i=0; i<k; i++) { currentSubArray += arr[i]; } ...

Yeah. I don't know what the sliding window algorithm is. However from the name alone, I think the user implemented the algorithm.
7:34 PM
A sliding window is any algorithm where you use the last X values. It's very popular in signal processing.

Q: What is a sliding window?

OcKI tried to find the answer by my own but unfortunately I couldn't. Let's say I have the discret values of a signal which is 10s long. What is the FFT which is performed on a sliding window with time? What is the difference to the FFT, where I get the frequency spectrum of the signal?

Say you want to average the past 1024 values, the window is 1024. And only the most recent 1024.
So it slides over the data.
Usually the window is way smaller than the total dataset.
A window of 1024 is not worth much if you only have 2048 datapoints. But if you got 500k datapoints...

Nice thanks! I think I've actually used the algorithm before but... just not come across the name

@Dai I don't think this question is on-topic on Code Review either... The OP is asking for answers that share each person's take on what a page's code should look like. — Heretic Monkey 31 secs ago
