@MiguelP: You may want to post some of your working (!) code that you produce on Code Review, asking for recommendations of improving the code. In the context of that code, you may want to ask whether the programming guidelines/rules that you are using are meaningful or not. — Andreas Wenzel 24 secs ago

Q: Optimizing BFS code to find connected components in a graph

NBKI am writing a Python code to find the connected components of a graph using BFS. The code works but takes a long time to run. Please suggest possible optimizations of my code. The graph is stored as a dictionary g. For example, g could be {'a':['b','c'], 'b':['a'], c:['a','d'], 'd':['c']}. The l...

@RyanM imo a good fit for us if the question is reworded (but i want to know how i can make it better. instead of but i want to know how i can make it better like if i enter a odd number.. The code works as expected. The code is present in the question. It is real code. The op describes what the code is doing. The titel is descriptive as well
I mentioned the rewording because we don't change what the code is doing.

@RyanM Reads like a low-effort feature request. We could force it into an on-topic question but that wouldn't help anyone.
Besides, we won't accept the current answers since none of them are reviews.

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please read How to Ask and stackoverflow.com/help/on-topic. It's not clear what you mean by "does this seem correct", but this is not on topic either way. If you want to know whether the code gives the right answers, it is your responsibility to test it. If you want to know whether the code is well written, you can ask specific questions about code style at Code Review instead. Before posting here about code that you have written, please identify a specific problem with the code (we do accept questions about improving objective performance metrics). — Karl Knechtel 57 secs ago

Q: Is there a more compact way to write this?

BorkSince this wasn't appropriate for stackoverflow I am trying my luck here.... So is there an option so that the php be written differently? It's functioning as it is, however I am curious... Also there are like 12 .div-boxes, it's required by the task, however I deleted most of them so it wont loo...

I'm so freaking livid
"Hey, everyone using our API, we are releasing a new API (not everything is migrated yet) and we're guaranteeing a 10% failure rate on the old API. That means if you use either, you're going to have random failures."
That is, probably, the most professional way I've seen someone say "get bent" before.

Such an absolutely terrible decision

No, that's not okay; you shouldn't use spy at all if possible, and not testing your actual subject under test (but a spy in this case) I would not accept in a code review. Why don't you just extract a method verifyEmailSent with all the verifys in it? — daniu 47 secs ago

Q: Iterate tables from table id from href links until no table with specific table id is found

GescofI am doing web scraping to the next web page (which is my root URL to start scraping tables): https://www.iso.org/standards-catalogue/browse-by-ics.html What I am trying to achieve is to parse the table with id 'datatable-ics' and then from the 'ICS' links contained in href tags from td in each r...

did they at least have the decency to make the "random failure" a dedicated status code, so you can write an interceptor that just retries a failure?

Plain 404 lmao

~groan

The problem is I don't consume cdnjs directly, I use libman to do it, and libman didn't have the update for a hot minute. So it's a failure between two different components

@buran I don't want to start a discussion if enforcing coding-style should only happens at code review. Rust is doing kind of similar with the strict compiler and teaches the while compiling. My Idea why not achieve something for secret which are handled in development. — MaKaNu 5 secs ago

2:55 PM
@DerKommissar I'm going to hazard a guess and say many customers will adapt their code to just retry on 404 and take the hit.

Retrying doesn't fix it, I re-ran the whole command like 6 times the other day, it fails at the same package
And the problem is Libman is designed to hard-fail if it can't do a lookup on any package
So now I'm re-running CI/CD pipelines until the random failures end
I literally hate things like this
I'm working on replacing the whole platform with a different tool, at least when I had bower I only got the "this tool is deprecated" issue, now I'm getting random failures regardless of whether I "do the right thing" or not

Q: Connect4 game with "Minimax-AI" and raylib

Maxell I am just trying to understand the minimax algorithm better and how it works, so I made this basic connect4 game with raylib.
