If the code works and you're looking for advice on improving it, Code Review is the appropriate place. But see codereview.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/5777/… first. — Barmar 6 secs ago

Q: reactjs: if-else condition inside a functional component

yongchangWhat I am trying to do is setting the column variable according to the value pass from my App.js. Right now it is doing what I expect it to do, but in terms of code wise, the if-else block looks very clutter and kinda inefficient. Is there a way to make it less clutter and more efficient? display...

Google track which scopes your application requests when authenticating. Double-check the scopes your application uses via a source code review. I believe you can delete scopes in the console. An alternative is to delete the OAuth Client and create a new one. Then submit for approval. — John Hanley just now

Q: Assign determisitic Orcish names for debugging

Neilorchish Large volumes of unlabelled data are hard to visualize when debugging; I find it difficult to keep track of the pointers in memory. I have used this code to assign Orcish names, (it's a name because I capitalized the first letter.) I use it initialized in the data type itself (orchish), o...

Welcome to Stack Overflow! Before you post at Code Review, make sure to read A guide to Code Review for Stack Overflow users, as some things are done differently over there - e.g. question titles should simply say what the code does, as the question is always, "How can I improve this?". Be sure that the code works correctly; include your unit tests if possible. You'll likely get some suggestions on making it more efficient, easier to read, and better tested. — Toby Speight 10 secs ago
This is better asked at softwareengineering or codereview. — luk2302 22 secs ago
@Anders, it's not suitable for Code Review, as it's not finished. Once the rewrite into functional style is completed, then it can be reviewed, but requests to rewrite code are specifically off-topic. — Toby Speight 45 secs ago

Q: What should our help centre say about rewrite requests?

Toby SpeightRequests to re-write code in a different idiom or using different libraries are problematic. Like all Stack Exchange sites, askers are expected to have attempted to solve their own problem before asking, rather than posting "gimme da codez". Do we believe we could help askers by reminding them u...

Q: Game of Life in Typescript

TKoLJust a toy project to learn typescript. I haven't made it interactive in any way, though I think I've programmed it in a way where making it interactive should be fairly straight forward: // Any live cell with two or three live neighbours survives. // Any dead cell with three live neighbours beco...

This is not a question for StackOverflow. You don’t have a technical problem with your code, so we can’t provide a technical answer. Maybe try posting this on: codereview.stackexchange.comD.Zotov just now
Don't post screenshots of code: stackoverflow.com/help/how-to-ask and this is more of a question for codereview.stackexchange.com I'd say. — ConnorTJ 59 secs ago

Q: Check if times cross using integers

DomI need to check if times A cross with times B using integers and a 24hour clock. Times that are the same don't count as crossing, but meeting. For example: 16, 20 and 14, 18 (startA, endA and startB and endB) would return true as these times do cross, however, 14, 16 and 16, 20 meet but don't cro...

Q: Avoid extra memory allocation by String.Replace()

Adam ShakhabovGiven a list of strings paragraphs and words. Check each paragraphs's item for containing words's item as a substring. Since this is a school assignment- convert the double to a string, then take the substring of the proper size, round it appropriately , then convert back to a double. But remember if you ever did that in the real world you'd have the code review immediately rejected, it's horrible code. — Gabe Sechan 42 secs ago

Q: Split List<String[]> into List<List<String[]>>

Harshit DangWe have a list of string arrays i.e. List<String[]> (which we got from a csv) which follows the hierarchy: 0000 3000 5000 5000 5000 . . . 3900 3000 5000 5000 5000 . . . 3900 9999 As you can see, it will always start with 0000 and end with 9999 (think...
