In this specific scenario, why doesn't the SoapServiceImpl own the logic for generating requests? Why is a middleman necessary to separate that logic? And if this code is currently working for you, are you looking for a code review? — jaco0646 25 secs ago

Q: Would compiler optimization remove try/catch block if catch does nothing?

StewieGGriffinI am working with code that has a lot of try catch blocks in but most cases the catch blocks do nothing. As in the code below fib function is throwing invalid_argument exception. The function call in main is in the try block but the catch block does not do anything, except catching the exception....

+5/-2: YES (sort strictly by votes)
+7/-0: NO (keep accepted answers pinned to the top)
+3/-0: MEH (it makes no difference for Code Review)
and it seems to me that the small trend towards “NO” is not going to change anymore.
Perhaps a moderator of this site wants to summarize the results as an answer to Unpinning the accepted answer from the top of the list of answers, other sites have done so as well. The main moderators/stuff will collect feedback until September 19.

I prefer your do {} while() block, but otherwise, there are some helpful insights on this CodeReview answer. These look relevant in terms of error logging: stackoverflow.com/q/7285468/2943403 , stackoverflow.com/q/51375227/2943403 , stackoverflow.com/q/44718982/2943403mickmackusa 35 secs ago

Q: 'Lean controller'/'Business logic on service' and filtering, sorting, pagination methods on controllers

Marco AurelioI'm currently reading about "Lean controllers"/"Business logic on services" and trying to refactor a legacy code. However I am struggling to apply what is taught in the tutorials on real code. Online examples are simple. But in real code, I have controllers that need to use filtering, sorting, fi...

Consider displaying your code on CodeReview. There is a lot that could be improved. For example, you start your code with a block that only initializes your storage, and this could be done by a readable one-liner instead (vector<vector<int>> t(n+1, vector<int>(w+1,0));). In that block, you create temp anew in each iteration despite it always being the same, and you call clear on it before you leave the scope in which it lives, which is pointless. — Aziuth 22 secs ago

Your code is not valid: You can't break up an if...elif... with a print('finished') at the same indentation level as if/elif. And your question is still not clear: In the added text you say you did something wrong - what makes you think you did something wrong? You ask if it is better to use float: That depends on what you want to achieve. If you want to calculate with non-integer numbers then you need float, otherwise you don't. ... Q: Kruskal's algorithm(finding the minimum spanning tree and deriving its weight)

sdgdrhzdrhzrThe program reads data from "1.txt", which stores the number of columns and rows of the matrix and the matrix itself, then, using Kruskal's algorithm, the program finds the minimum spanning tree and displays its weight #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <vector> int main() { std...

I’m voting to close this question because "it is working fine" - SO is for code that is not working fine. codeReview StackExchange is for code that is "working fine" but "could be better" (but you have to define "better") — Caius Jard 16 secs ago

Asking if your working code is dirty or good is opinion-based and therefor off topic. I don't know the rules of Code Review on Stack Exchange but perhaps you should read their rules, apply them to your question and ask there. — jabaa 39 secs ago

Q: Find common timeslots for consecutive days

KIKO SoftwareThe code below finds timeslots that are common to all dates, and their timeslots, in a given input array. It divides the day in 96 quarters of an hour, and creates an array for them. This is called a 'timeline'. Then the time slots, for each date, are matched against a blank timeline, creating a ...

Q: Is this a disadvantage of using sleep() or a problem with outputting the count every iteration? (Child process doesn't execute as far as expected)

staticstackstuckJust a real quick question. Could someone either confirm or correct my theory as to why my child process does not execute as far as I would think? Given what I have, I would expect the child to reach 999 as the parent sleeps for 10 seconds so this would result in 1000 total incrementations of ite...
