It could be a number of things, including: docker (not R) limits on memory/resources; or inefficient R code. The first is likely better-suited for superuser.com or similar. The second would require an audit of your code. You might get away with it here on SO if the code is not egregious, but once the code block starts paging, it becomes a visual deterrence and flies in the face of minimal reproducible example, in which case perhaps Code Review would be a better place. — r2evans 32 secs ago

Have you run a profiler? And also this will probably get closed since code reviews of working code aren't really in the scope of StackOverflow. The Code Review Stack Exchange might be appropriate, as long as you make a post that fits the rules of that site. — Random Davis 38 secs ago

First, please edit your question when providing clarifications. The comments are for us to ask for clarification, not for you to provide them. Second, does the code you posted do what you want? If so, it's not a real Stack Overflow question. Consider posting it on the codereview.stackexchange.com site, if you can make sure it fits their requirements. If it doesn't do what you want, please be more clear about that: explain exactly what the code does now, how that's different from what you want, and what specifically you need help with. — Peter Duniho 41 secs ago
