I've put everything I have in that GitHub repository that I linked to the other day. It's mostly just me categorizing posts at the moment. (For example, the amount of un-tagged broken questions we have is insane) I've categorized like 1.6k questions out of the 1.9k. A while back I graphed the links on meta, but it seemed like the project wouldn't be fruitful.

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ I think asking what the complexity is off-topic but unenforced. Given that they ask for better performance it makes it ever greyer. Which ever way you vote is within site rules afaik

OP's previous question also asks about complexity

If you want help improving working code, you should post this on CodeReview.SE. If you do decide to do so, please delete the question here. — NathanOliver 42 secs ago

@Peilonrayz though it isn't "what is the complexity" but rather "is the complexity x?" - there is a subtle difference... but are both off-topic? I thought the second question might make it on-topic, given that the question in the meta was not open to other feedback, as @Mast pointed out

It's off-topic if the question "doesn't appear to be interested in feedback about any or all facets of the code". You are correct there's a difference but it comes down to an individuals interpretation of the question and this rule
It's not so much "complexity is off-topic" but "only wanting complexity is off-topic".

4:54 PM
@Peilonrayz but the second question (i.e. "do you guys have any idea about how to get a better performance?") makes it sound like not just wanting complexity, doesn't it?
I realize that may sound like a double-negative
I'm reminded of the joke quoted here:
14
Q: Is "double positive meaning negative" a common phenomenon?

BozhoThe following joke is popular: An MIT linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day. “In English,” he said, “a double negative forms a positive. However, in some languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. But there isn’t a single language, not one, in which a...

Depends. I've seen some questions that contain that as a "get past the rules" and some that really don't care about the complexity.
I've not read the post and I'm not going to tell you what to think

okay - thanks

@sgibson19 "Also if you see any other issues with my code please let me know" ... this part would be appropriate on codereview.stackexchange.com but only after you get your code working. @SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ "What is my Big O" is a specific question IMO that people should learn how to calculate for themselves or they'll keep coming back. It's a terrible thing to ask anywhere on SE.
Thinking you know the answer, stating such and learning you're wrong is something else. That could work as part of an overall question.
However, this question does not fit that as it's almost obsessed with the time complexity.
Not entirely dissimilar are those "is my code secure" questions where it's obvious OP doesn't have a clue about what security means and what is being secured against...

The ones that are pretty much that but change "secure" for "performance" are starting to get annoying. 0 effort and they want you to get the "best" performance... :/

8:05 PM
@CaptainObvious ugh why can't close-/down- voters leave a comment for the OP??
@Mast however it doesn't seem "totally obsessed with the time complexity" since there is a question about if it is a certain complexity and a subsequent question about how better performance can be achieved...
