@pacmaninbw No they found out you really couldn't.
Tried beer, sugar water, a bunch of stuff.

Stack Overflow is only for problems with code that doesn't work properly. Code Review can provide feedback about improving working code, but you will need to read the rules on how to post there appropriately; simply dropping a link and "tell me about it" isn't sufficient. — chrylis -cautiouslyoptimistic- 12 secs ago

@Peilonrayz This one? Might be a feature request, not a request for review.
Depending on how you interpret the rules.
I've made it an UWYA vote simply because either OP doesn't know what they want or because they can't be bothered to put in the effort to understand an answer.

Just an idea - if this is a smallish library, perhaps look at codereview.stackexchange.com and see if you can get some feedback on the code itself. — Nigel Ren 47 secs ago

Welcome! Unfortunately this question is off-topic here, as there is no specific question. Also, there are no details in your question; to even begin understanding, someone would have to travel to an external site to see your demo, then to another external site (your repo) to inspect all of your code. If there is a specific question, then please provide all necessary details. If you're looking to have something specific reviewed, consider posting to codereview.stackexchange.com. Just note that this same question would likely be off-topic there too (all details need to be in your question). — David Makogon 44 secs ago
welcome to stackoverflow. It's hard to say what is correct without some more details about what you are trying to do. For example; in your example method you are suggesting to connect to only one reader in turn which seems a little odd. What is your application? Also, you may receive some down votes I'm afraid since this is more of a code review (codereview.stackexchange.com) than it is a specific question. — George Kerwood 58 secs ago

@Mast I don't really see how interpretation comes into this. Are you interpreting "any or all" as not one of our rules? Or are you interpreting their response as genuinely wanting "any or all"?

On your three questions: (1) You write unit tests for functions calculating stats like you write unit tests for anything else. Why does the fact that they calculate stats matter? (2) with a bit of work, this might be a good question here. (3) We don't do code review here. If the function works, it's off-topic. Try our sister site Code Review instead. — Chris 1 min ago

@Peilonrayz The rule is any and all, yet we support tags like , , and .
Quoting the tag wiki:
> Use this tag when you want to emphasize the usage of object-oriented techniques.
What the rules say and what happens in practice, are not necessarily the same.

@Mast I think you should probably reread those metas. If it's tagged with any, we can still answer with any and all feedback that aren't specific to those tags.

@Peilonrayz They're tags, not metas.

Yes. But they have meta posts attached to them.

And I bloody well know we can ignore the tags, but what are we supposed to do when a user shows up with 3 questions that are essentially duplicates?
April 25, May 24 and 20 hours ago. All those 3 questions are so similar we might just as well dupe them.

@Mast It's easier to explain coming from an answerer's POV, as we're primarily answerers. But if you flip it to the askers POV then it may make more sense why those rules aren't in violation of the rules. If an asker only wants performance gains that's off-topic as they're not asking for a code review. But asking for any and all advice with a focus on performance is different and on-topic. There isn't this conflict between the rules you think there is.
As for dupes, meh. They're all off-topic cause the OP doesn't want a code review in my book. Why make it messy by bringing in notoriously "anything goes" dupe rules.

welp, that question is a dumpster fire...
the code presented shouldn't even exist in the first place...
all of that is a shell-script
the whole process should be automated in a single shell script that should probably not involve python in the first place

@Vogel612 I was really confused what you meant by this for a second. Yeah, you could probably do that. But for those of us not well versed in the shells it's a bit more challenging ;)

yea, it's a bit annoying to do that with awk, but ...

@Peilonrayz I think you covered it with Functions. That is the way in this case to make the code DRY.

I think what that user is looking for is a for category in ['test', 'train']:

@pacmaninbw Indeed, if they followed Reinderien's advice this question wouldn't even be asked. And if it were it would look squeaky clean.

var i; and for (i = 0; i < gameData.inventoryBox.length; i++) could have been for (var i = 0; i < gameData.inventoryBox.length; i++), and at the same time those dreadful gameData.inventoryBox[i].toDoListDetails.lists[k].<anything>‌-s should have been listItem.<anything> via having useful variable declaration lines (starting with gameData.inventoryBox). But generally this question is too subjective here, it would have a better place on code review. — tevemadar 54 secs ago

Q: Barrier implementation in C++

SergeyI've implemented a barreir in C++ close to one showed here. In the project code it's used only with two threads and seems to work. A synthetic test didn't expose any flaws too. Q: Using deque for composing a string from 2 alternating stacks

Denis ShvetsovWe have 2 strings, say "JACK" and "DANIELS". So it goes, until we end ...
