Maybe you are looking for a code review. If so, maybe your working code should be presented on Code Review instead of on SO. Read the rules for Code Review carefully. If your code doesn't compile, it is not appropriate for CR. @Phrancis I don't care that much for performance but the memory consumption is horrible if the firefox is open for some long time. Maybe this is due to running in a VM but i don't know.

@Feeds That reminds me that I wanted to ask another question on meta.
Need to write some queries after work.

What you are asking for is a code review. Don't think this is the place for it. However, just as a quick point, capture your range from SheetA into an array. Then build a separate array for SheetB. Once done, you can paste your array for ShhetB directly into SheetB. It is a lot quicker to work from memory rather than from sheets in excel — Zac 46 secs ago

That self-answer could've been an edit instead. It's not like there were any other answers to invalidate and now this is somewhat less likely to get a review
Other than that with my limited c knowledge these answers all look okay, maybe a little terse (personal preference here)

It looks like you are looking for someone to review your code. You may get better results at codereview.stackexchange.comSyntaxRules 11 secs ago

@202_accepted There are tools for that.

I want something more universal

Hi, @bruglesco.

No extensions or addins, because I might want it in Visual Studio, you know?

Makes sense.

I may want it in SSMS, or Notepad++. :)

Shouldn't be hard to do since both Google and Bing have APIs around their translators.

2:27 PM
hi

The hard part will be hooking into Windows.
@bruglesco Good monking.

And I hear that English/Chinese in Bing is as good as a human translator now.
@202_accepted Actually, that's not too hard.
You want a global hook, which is the easiest kind to listen for.

@Hosch250 But I want to replace the actual text in whatever program, including a browser window of HTML.

@202_accepted Oh, I thought you just meant a popup that displays the translation.

Oh no, it's 2018, we need to do things cool now. :)

2:29 PM
@202_accepted If you like IE, it supports translating full pages.

I hate IE, Edge, FF and Chrome.

@202_accepted FWIW, I'd never use it if it automatically started translating things.
@202_accepted What do you use? Opera?

@Hosch250 I want it to work on text-selection.
@Hosch250 Yeah, Opera.

@202_accepted If I select something and it suddenly replaces it, I'd be pissed.

@Hosch250 You still click a button, it just doesn't pop the translation up.

2:30 PM
How will it even know which language to replace it with? What if I usually do Chinese, but I want German this time?

I'm thinking a taskbar notification icon (like Volume or Dropbox), you can change source and destination language, and then hit translate.

And if the text is editable, what if I just want to see what it says, not replace it?
I think it would be best to offer both.
Preview or replace.

@202_accepted, check my link. It's about it (translate everything). X selection is universal. I usually translate text from browser, terminal (man pages or editor).
Just bind it to hotkey.
I use it with dwm.
One may use it with xbindkeys as well.

> Indomita is a wild horse hybrid simulation/rp game. Unlike in a standard sim game where you would run a stable or train horses for competition, Indomita is much more open than that! Create or adopt a horse character and guide them on their journey through life. Choose roles to suit their goals and personality and develop relationship with other in game characters to unlock new interactions.

Q: Using two versions of SingalR in a .NET application

DoctorI hope this is the right place to ask but what maybe the consequences of using two versions of singalR in a single application on shared views. I would think it depends on the usage but how otherwise it will impact the application use?

@Malachi Probably going to drop this in GitHub momentarily.

That being said, where do you review the actual code? You have presented an alternative solution, but haven't reviewed the code. "Use C instead of C++" isn't a review, neither is "use this code instead of yours". You acknowledge that in your "caveat", but that's not a valid reason to post an alternative variant. You can, however, put your own code up for review if your interested in one. — Zeta 13 secs ago

Q: NOT macro: is this bad practice

Blair FonvilleI typically try to avoid using ! in if-statements, because (to me) it seems easy to overlook. So, I'll usually just spell it out instead, ex: if (done == false) instead of if (!done). Q: What more context can you provide about a one-liner macro?

t3chb0tThe question about NOT macro: is this bad practice has been closed for not providing concrete context. But what else could OP have written to make it on-topic? OP also explained why he likes this solution. I find he did everything right. The macro is a one-liner with a usage example.

@CaptainObvious A new user immediately proposes an edit on a question that has been posted by another new user?
Doh. Nevermind. The former is registered, the latter isn't. User probably asked this question without account by accident, the editor is the real user.

7:10 PM
@Zeta That is why I posted a comment with a link to merge the accounts...apparently it was flagged for removal

@SamOnela Malachi found it in the suggested edit queue, and already initiated the process of account merge with the CMs
The comment was useful, but no longer needed.
(also, in future, if you see that, you can flag it for mod attention too).

@rolfl FTW!
@rolfl I thought in the past I was told that they couldn't but didn't know they could initiate the process

We can't do it directly, but we can ask the CM's nicely to do it.

Community flags for mod attention, mods flag for CM attention.

ZetaReviews don't pile up at the same time. For the mods to notify the CMs, somebody should notify them.
